1 Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest
1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting of the Children, Young People and Education Committee.
1.2 Apologies were received from Laura Jones MS, there was no substitute. Joyce Watson MS substituted for Buffy Williams MS until Buffy Williams MS arrived at the meeting.
2 Scrutiny of the Welsh Government Draft Budget 2023 - 2024 - evidence session 2
2.1 The Committee scrutinised the Minister and Deputy Ministers on the Welsh Government Draft Budget.
2.2 The Deputy Minister for Social Services
agreed to provide the Committee with a technical briefing on the
Welsh Government’s Strategic Integrated Impact Assessment
(SIIA).
3 Papers to note
3.1 The papers were noted.
4 Motion under Standing Order 17.42(ix) to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting, the whole of the meeting on 26 January and for Item 1 on 2 February
4.1 The motion was agreed.
